Pretty much a guarantee that Dak & the Cowboys will take a step back this year

For years on this board I said the Cowboys need to get rid of 3 men in order to ever become relevant again:

Romo
Bryant
Jones

Now they have gotten rid of 1 of those 3, and still have 2 left. But they replaced Romo with Dak Prescott, and I am not sold on him being the long term solution. He had a good rookie campaign but I am certain he will regress in Year 2 and have the Cowboys regretting having pulled the plug on Romo. The Cowboys needed to get rid of Romo, but I don't think Dak Prescott is the answer. 9-7 this year at best for the Cowboys.

Wont happen. It's saying a lot - Elliot may be a bigger cancer than Dez. I have heard Dez isn't as bad of a cancer as he was when I was there. But what I hear about Elliot its very reminiscent of early Dez.

And the offensive line - an injury away from being not so great, and I think their line is overrated to begin with

They have 7 games against 2016 playoff teams this year: New York twice, Chiefs, Falcons, Seahawks, Raiders, and Packers. Maybe they are 9-7, but I could easily see 10-6.

I mean, let's face it, a step back from last year is anything short of 13-3, and you'd have to be crazy to think this team is going 13-3 two years in a row, especially with the schedule they have this year.

lol

I do agree they'll take a step back, though.

I will say this, I'm not at all convinced on Prescott being a franchise qb.

Exactly, you think Jerry Jones would have learned from RG3, Kapernick, etc. fading after one good year.

If Dak had to throw 40 times a game he'd be very ineffective. I think the offense, in which we run 60 percent of the time, is perfect for him. But if we're down, we are probably in trouble.

Dude, our defense is freaking horrible, like half of our D-line is suspended and our secondary is full of rookies.
