Actually a lot of baseball tournaments are even worse. Pool play then single elimination for pretty much all tourneys due to pitching and not running kids into the ground.

I didn't even know who she was till i read the thread and googled. She is playing with guys.

Why play double elimination for the whole tournament, then when it really matters just frick the best team.
Stupid.
If anything they should make the first round single eliminatio or something if they are worried about player safety.

Something I don't understand, why would a team with only one loss be eliminated from winning the tournament. For instance if Vegas wins then loses to the winner of Chicago/Phily winner, they go to the 3rd place game.
That seems very unfair. Unless I'm reading the bracket incorrectly.
yeah that seemed fricking dumb to me as well. the only advantage of winning this game tonight is to save some pitching and an extra day off, i guess? i get that's a big deal and all, but you should be rewarded more for going 4-0 to start the tourney.

While Davis has been dominant, she hasn’t faced a lineup with as much depth as Mountain Ridge.
Mountain Ridge’s batters Nos. 1-4 — Zachary Hare, Austin Kryszczuk, Brennan Holligan and Bradley Stone — combined to bat 8 for 12 with four home runs, 11 RBIs and eight runs scored in Sunday’s win. Mountain Ridge slugged five home runs, including two by Kryszczuk.
Mountain Ridge is 15-0 this summer and has outscored opponents 172-26. They won both World Series games by the 10-run mercy rule.
“She’s a great pitcher. She mixes speed well,” Kryszczuk, who is 5 for 6 in two World Series games and considered the event’s best player, told ABC after Sunday’s game. “... We have 14 guys on this team that do a lot of damage. Play Ridge baseball and we’ll do great.” And Mo'ne Davis has pitched 2 shutouts in her last 2 outings....something's gotta give.

Vegas scores 6 and wins the game.
Mo'ne doesnt have overpowering stuff and just mixing her pitches really well.
ETA: Game was supposed to start at 7:30 but rain delay in the first game so I would say most likely 8:30 start

Nevada is going to smoke this team tonight. Loser of this game will lose to Chicago.

I'm sure it's been discussed but idgaf...Mo'ne? Really parents? Mo'ne is the thoughtful and meaningful name you have your child?

She is gonna get shelled tonight. She has not pitched against one team that is good. Not one.

Um...any team that makes it to Williamsport is pretty good.

man that is such a tough opposition for her.. these guys have ten run ruled both games so far i believe..
Posted on 8/20/14 at 6:41 pm to The Boat
the southeast team she just dominated was pretty good

Bc I have watched her in the regionals and the first game of the LLWS. Satisfied? Her regionals were a joke and the team from Tennessee was god awful.
Posted on 8/20/14 at 6:43 pm to Bestbank Tiger
Its pretty obvious you have no clue what USSA baseball is. LLWS is water downed. Vegas and Chicago are the only teams that could hold their own in USSA.

Tenn. went 2 and bbq. They won the first game 11-4. Nevada that is.
