"Power shift" is a reach. The SEC still recruits better as a whole which will help the depth of the conference.
The B1G has brought in better coaches and it will without a doubt help the conference compete on a higher level.
It's good for the sport.

I don't know about a power shift but the big ten will compete better with the SEC. The best of the big ten Ohio State and Michigan State competed very well with the best from the SEC and Big 12. I think top to bottom the SEC will be better, but in all honesty top to bottom doesn't matter.
Third in the SEC West doesn't get you to the playoffs and if the top quarter of the big ten can compete with the top quarter of the SEC and Big 12 and Pac 12 then that is all that matters. So not a power shift but a competitive shift.
Let's be honest no one gives a shite about Minnesota versus Kentucky in a hypothetical bowl game that has no national implications.

B1G still blows but has one kind D of good team.
Y'all turds need to show you belong, not ride OSU success.

I've heard this a few times lately, and it's really dumb.
The better the conference is top to bottom, the harder it is for the teams at the top.
It all matters.

NO

yeah, man, those 2 and 3 star players across the B1G are really gonna start tearing up these next few years.

Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised to see people put UM in the preseason Top 25 for 2015 based solely off of Harbaugh. Coaching was one of many problems UM had this year. He isn't magically winning 10 games next year.
Michigan has the talent on the roster right now to win 9-10 games next year, and no one can tell me different. The talent they have on the interior of the OL is potentially unmatched by any program in the country, but it has been completely underutilized.
2013 was a top 5 class. Those guys will be juniors. This includes 4 guys who were basically top 100 players at the Center and guard positions. Also a top 200 OT
2012 class was 6. 2 more top 100 guys on the OL
2014 was 20. 2 more good OL guys
They don't have many tackles, so that is obviously a problem, but there is no reason why they shouldn't be able to run up the middle for 4 a pop with the interior talent they have brought in.
I think the talent is there to be good quick. 10 wins may be too many, but no reason they can't be 8-4 next year
From the rankings the talent is there, time to churn that butter

The SEC has dominated CFB for a decade. We'll still be the top conference most years, but it may not be domination anymore.

Might want to look at this statistic. The SEC has struggled mightily in the past two years against top ten teams OOC.

In the past two seasons, the SEC is 1-11 against out of conference top-10 teams (AP or Coaches), and 0-5 against them in bowl games.

The SEC has a higher win percentage against OOC top 10 teams (8.3%) than the Sun Belt (0%), MAC (0%), Independents (0%), MWC (0%), and C-USA (0%) in the past 2 seasons.
The SEC has a lower win percentage against OOC top 10 teams (8.3%) than the B1G (60%), PAC 12 (57.1%), ACC (52.9%), Big 12 (25%) and AAC (16.7%) in the past 2 seasons.

This is why the SEC isnt' going anywhere anytime soon. The best players in the country reside in the south.

A bunch of Ohio boys with few other from around the country just came down to your house and pushed you around for four quarters and dominated you.
This mantra wasn't and still isn't true.
