Philly should’ve never had it this close to lose

Some of you don’t understand, they didn’t adjust at halftime and chiefs did
Is what it is
Is what it is

They made the Super Bowl by beating a team that shouldn’t have been in the playoffs in the first place and a team that didn’t have a QB. Not exactly a stellar resume.

That two-week contract Philly gave to Vic Fangio really reaped dividends

“I don’t know if I ever made a halftime adjustment during my entire 18-year career. I think that’s the biggest myth in football, the halftime adjustments, right? You go in, you use the restroom, you eat a couple of oranges, then the head coach says, ‘All right, let’s go!'” - Peyton Manning

The Super Bowl might be a tad different because halftime is closer to 40 minutes than the normal 12 minute halftime.

Might be. But Peyton Manning played in 4 of those so it would still fall under his statement.

I'm not trying to dispute what a HOF QB claims, but it just seems pretty crazy to me to think that coaches never look at things, and make some changes in scheme/personnel at halftime if needed.

Or the Chiefs should have just shot up Mahomes' ankle before the game.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — In the NFL, there is no greater myth than halftime adjustments, according to Peyton Manning. The legendary quarterback has made it clear that players have just enough time to sit and sip some water before they have to get back out on the field.
But there's one exception: the Super Bowl.
Halftime in the Super Bowl is 29 minutes — more than double the 13-minute halftime in the regular season. That gives each team a real chance to control their emotions and make schematic adjustments.
That's, in part, how the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVII 38-35 over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

So an article written by someone outside the locker room saying adjustments were made, but not going into what those adjustments were.
The bulk of the article was about pep talks and snacking.
The part that actually talks about adjustments is, in fact, the offensive coordinator pointing out that the Eagles were doing what they had prepped for them to do.
"Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy was able to show the players what had beaten them in the first half — and it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. They'd prepared for what they were seeing. "[The Eagles] gave us a few different — not so much different — but they gave us some blitzes. They played the same type of coverages. We just weren't executing like we needed to."

The Chiefs definitely looked like a different team in the second half. I don't know if it was adjustments or if they just dug deep and found a little more within themselves but Philadelphia had no answer for their offense after halftime

I need to see a "film study" of that play they burned Philly on three times (2TDs and the hold)

The first one to Toney looked like they were taking advantage of all of the attention the Eagles were paying to Kelce. Kelce slanted in as Toney broke back out. Two defenders went with Kelce and none with Toney.
It almost looked to me like Philadelphia's plan was to clog the middle of the field in red zone situations (because of Kelce) and Kansas City figured this out and exploited the shite out of it.

There’s probably some misunderstanding here. The players aren’t making the adjustments. The coordinators are probably making adjustments to their playcalling and/or digging deeper into the plays they’ve designed for the game.

Maybe that would explain why he played like shite in his SB appearances.
