Plays for St Michael's in Fairhope. Pretty impressive as a freshman in 4A football.

Probably has offers already. Only 10 games played so far.

Just a point of reference 4A in Alabama is about a mid size high school. Mostly rural to suburban at biggest.
Just guessing, but I imagine 100 or less in graduating size.

They played McGill, TR Miller, Jackson this year.

St Michael's is the only Catholic High-school in Baldwin County

I hope Alabama offers as a TE just for old times sake.

I’m not gonna lie, the name Gunner Rivers has great QB written all over it. Sometimes you gotta manifest your sons destiny, and it starts with the name.

What's more impressive is that he chooses to live in AL over San Diego. Man, California must really be getting bad.

No matter how bad Cali gets, living in San Diego is way better than anywhere in Alabama

LSU had a QB commit named Gunner. He bailed at last minute and was said to have “no chest.”

Agreed.

Some of these guys haven't left their state but use a generalized stereotype no differently than others do when speaking of the south.

San Diego is very nice man. I loved it. Now LA? Yeah that's a shithole.

Tell us you’ve never been to Fairhope, AL without actually telling us.

Fairhope is a great place to live, I'd argue one of the best places to be in Alabama. Lots of LSU fans in the area as well.

Yep, that's right. Nothing at all to see down here. Stay above I-10 and away from Lower Alabama

I have family in fairhope and grew up going there often. Still do. It’s really nice

But it doesn’t come close to San Diego

California would be great if it wasn’t for the people. Phillip is a great fit for Fairhope and is a short drive to their incredible beach house on 30A.
