Ingram did pick up a huge block on blitz pickup vs. Indy last weekend.

I'm glad to have all 3 . There isn't much of a drop-off when any of them come in.

If Ingram has as good of a running game in the regular season as he is now, the Saints could be as good if not better than Denver's offense last year.

And now he is in Lovie Smith's system, which will probably help him have another above average season.

are we talking Michael Johnson?

how is lovie's smith going to help him get more sacks

Are you asking how a good defensive system and play calling can help out a players stats?

How did he do last year?
Pretty good or was sharing too much of the time with Sproles a problem?

Oh yeah, Cincinnati had a great D. But to say last year was his only above average year was also false. In fact, his 2012 year was his best year.

Just my opinion, but I think he has been an above average player the past 3 years. 21 sacks in 3 years is not average to me.

I guess their (Bucs) defense should be better. If Michael Johnson is lining up next to Gerald McCoy then he should be alright because he was a good pass rusher in Cincinnati lining up next to Geno Atkins.

having a beast in the middle of your defensive line like that is huge.

Lavonte David made a ton of plays last year. I don't know if that many people paid attention to him or the rest of the team because of the shite storm Greg Schiano had going.

I think they also signed Clinton McDonald from the Seahawks. He's a good situational pass rusher, provides some decent depth I guess.

Getting rid of Revis who wasn't a right fit for their system and adding Verner, adding Michael Johnson, and then adding Clinton McDonald who I think could have a great year were so good pickups.

I don't care what you say, putting Verner in Revis's position does not make them better.

Revis is by far the superior corner, but the Tampa 2 was just a terrible system for him. It didn't allow him to excel. He is still the best corner in my mind.

I am far from an expert, but I imagine Verner will have a better fit in Lovies system than Revis would.

Tampa Bay's defense looks crazy good, and I like McCoy as my way too early pick for DPOY, but the offense is going to suck.

McCown is known for holding the ball too long, and the pathetic o-line here isn't going to give him shite for time. I expect it to lead to disastrous results.

There offense will be decent at best. But besides Cam Newton putting up great fantasy numbers, there offense was well below average and they won the division. Outside of the Falcons ( ), the NFC South could become the best defensive division in the NFL.

They also have Lavonte David, who is arguably the best LB in the NFL.

I don't know. Martin is a proven NFL RB that was injured last year. VJax is a proven #1 WR. Evans looks good in preseason. McCown was effective vs. a solid Bills defense last preseason game.

Now that they've lost that clown Schiano, they could be a 8/9 win team, IMO.

Fwiw, PFF still ranked Revis as the #1 corner in the league last year.

Oh, I didn't realize he was still ranked number 1.
I agree 100% the Revis is the best corner, so maybe getting rid of him for Verner was more of a money/value thing?

An interesting thing I saw on PFF

Came from this article, talking about the difference between Verner and Revis and how Verner will fit in Lovie's scheme
