I am tired of SJWs... nothing is ever enough for them. Now they are saying the NCAA should disassociate itself from BYU because... BYU adheres to the religion it is affliated with.

Recently updated policies of the LDS church were leaked online and are extremely detrimental to the LGBT community within Utah and at BYU in particular; in an unexpected doubling back on their previous efforts to connect with LGBT families the LDS church has taken aim at children of same sex parents by listing ‘sexual cohabitation’ as a ‘Serious Transgression’ on the same level with rape and murder. The new doctrine prevents children of same sex couples from being baptized or blessed until they turn 18, at which point they must disavow "homosexuality" and no longer live in a same-sex household, forcing them to disown their parents in order to be a part of the religion.
This policy drives a wedge between families and forces children to pick sides between their religion and the people that they love, as well as opening up the possibility for BYU students of same-sex parents to be penalized for not denouncing their families much in the same way that students who lose their faith leader endorsement are kicked from the school.
These new policy changes come right after Brigham Young University was ranked one of the least LGBT-friendly campuses in the United States, and one year after the school’s only LGBT group on campus was ordered to disband by LDS church leaders and will only further the school’s hostile environment towards LGBT students.

This is getting ridiculous

These people only want to bring attention to themselves.

Problem is that it's taking root. I won't be surprised if someday a churches non-profit status isn't hinged on accepting homosexuality. It's inevitable.

Catholics and Baptists also believe homosexuality is a sin.
If the NCAA listens to the SJWs, all the religious-affiliated institutions should leave and form their own association while the getting is good. That wouldn't be a fatal blow to the NCAA but it would be damaging.

Being part of the NCAA isn't a right and if you list being gay on the same level as rape you're asking for trouble.

Your Jimmies are rustle over less than 500 people signing an internet petition on change.org.... Really???
Accord to the website, About a 100 times more people care about the NFL charging the military to honor veterans and they started the petition at roughly the same time.

This is not that unusual. In some states they have separate athletic associations for private and public schools and some private schools choose to align themselves in conferences at the D3 level.
I disagree with banning BYU due to their religious beliefs, but it is not an unusual thing.

I doubt that Mormons believe it should be punishable the same in the eye's of the law. It's intellectually dishonest to say that's what they are claiming.

If they are claiming it legally or morally it's still not good.

A good portion of the churches in this country still believe homosexuality is a transgression. A good portion believe that all transgressions are looked at equally in the eye's of God because they ultimately drive a wedge between God and the transgressors. It's definitely not that hard of an intellectual concept.
A moral claim is much different.

I have an idea
How about we make a petition on change.org banning Peej from making predictions about the outcomes of football games? I bet we would jump them in 24 hrs.

Attitude has shifted and if you can't understand why equating homosexuality with rape would cause issues for a lot of people then I'm out.

The whole bible is about humanity's separation from God. Transgression is what caused separation from God (this according to many doctrines). So, you could equate gossip to rape in that context. Obviously the penal code doesn't view them the same, as it it shouldn't.
Don't be so feeble minded.

Race is the hot thing now. If you want to ban someone, accuse them of being racist. You cannot lose.
