Just watched it, was pretty cool

Why "sports" stations don't allow segments like that I don't know. I'd love to see more of that type of discussion happen around specific sports not this TMZ crap they spew.

A Rod is a very good analyst

There were those great segments of Tony Gywnn and Ted Williams talking hitting.
Those used to be fascinating, two masters who truly loved their craft.

He really is very good on television. Pete Rose looks like Liza Minelli but he obviously is pretty much the best source on hitting

Fox pre-postgame coverage is very good. I have enjoyed Alex Rodriguez very much, and Pete Rose will say whatever and pretty much just makes fun of the other two the whole time

That was awesome. Look how much larger a rod is over rose wow. Frank is a giant but the drugs mad a rod into a Greek god.

Rose was talking to ARod like he had never picked up a bat before

Ted Williams would talk hitting to anyone or anything.

A Rod is what, 6'3" and 230..? And Frank just dwarfs him. My god

Did he try to sell A-Rod and Thomas any signed merchandise?

My only guess is that moron millennials and women are who they are trying to target by talking gossip and "social awareness" horse shite.... everything else except the actual gameplay.
This is one of the most entertaining and insightful baseball discussions I've seen on tv in a long, long time. I never understood why you have all these great hall of fame players as analysts and networks never utilize them in conversation like this...why not tell the audience what made them so great instead of talking in cliches and 20 second sound bites all the time.
Also, yes ARod is a very good, well prepared, and amazingly likeable analyst. Hell it might even earn him enough points in the long run to get into the hall with younger voters who will only see him as this nice, well liked guy on tv.
You could tell ARod was genuinely curious as to Rose's methods and approach...I can't remember Rose as a manager but he had to have been pretty good with all the knowledge he had.

I had this exact thought the other night. A-Rod is not a small guy and frickin Big Hurt makes him look tiny

Excellent point. I could easily watch an hour of this.

All while not ever jumping on the roid bandwagon that existed during his time in the game.

ARod can have a great career as a commentator

This is why horse racing kicks arse and why i could not fathom and don't understand how people watch shite like NFL sunday count down.
There was one turf grade 1 race earlier this year I think the Kilroe mile and they had one of the jockeys in the race get on on the morning preview show and he was talking about how he had to get cover behind the horses in front of him to reduce the drag just like in nascar and how the key was getting the horse to relax behind other horses instead of being out in front. That's fascinating shite
Versus watching something liek NFL Countdown. "Well Drew Bres is a big time player and big time players make big time plays in big games, Randy, you were a big time player you know what it's like to make big time plays tell us what you think"
it's like pepole that watch that shite are just happy something related to football is on but the product is hot garbage.
