But how will we differentiate you from the Louisiana Warhawks, Tigers, Bulldogs, Cowboys, Colonels, Demons, Lions, or Privateers?

You're so right. I'm sure people from around the country also have trouble trying to decipher whether it is LSU-Baton Rouge, LSU-Eunice, or LSU-Shreveport that is playing on television. I mean, they all come from the LSU System, right?

I remember when those were all Division 1 teams to make that comparison valid. Or do I?

Nope. Sorry. I can't tell the difference. They're all named LSU and are in the LSU system. I just can't decipher them. Color me shocked.

It's probably because of your ULL education.

Boobie's team finished 2nd in State.

No they didn't

You're right, they lost in the semi-finals. I guess UNO advances to the State finals instead of ULL.

And your LSU education can't help you decipher a school to call itself Louisiana when it's the first part of the name from schools that go by McNeese and Nicholls.

What about Louisiana Monroe? I noticed you conveniently left them out of your list.

Because they follow the laws of the UL system. You know, the ones that say things such as:
quote:

There shall be no institution designated as the main (primary) campus for the University of Louisiana System. Any designation of or reference to a member institution as “flagship,” “lead,” “main,” or by other similar descriptors is prohibited.

Nope, just like Carter they have ineligible players. NCAA voids the win and we advance to play Tulane in the State Finals

Show me in that quote where it is illegal to use "Louisiana" as a sports brand. It's only illegal if the university uses "University of Louisiana," which it doesn't.

Hmmm, I wonder which in-state school will send a spokesperson to call or email them to correct the name.

How many of the endless times your fans refer to yourself as UL do I need to bring up?

I say it all the time. I didn't realize that there was a clause in the law that says fans aren't allowed to use that.

Again, only the university can't use it.
