Don't forget about Gary Payton! "The Glove" can give them some lockdown D at the point.

Tim Hardaway is resigning with the Heat also. Gonna show them boys what a real crossover dribble looks like.

A 39 Year Old SF whom hasn't played in the NBA for two years and the last time he did was pretty craptastic. I'm sure the Heat are doing backflips about this one.

His experiment with the Lakers didn't go over very well and Karl Malone say "He shouldn't be signed!"

Therefore Gary Payton will play in Boston next year.

Not really. He hasn't signed a contract or anything, just expressed interest in coming back

I think The Bron's decision spectacle was embarrassing for the league. This goes WAY beyond that!!

That looks a lot like the bench from my team on NBA Live '98.

But on a serious not--forget Penny, weren't Allen Houston and Reggie Miller talking about coming back recently? Those guys could just hang out on the arc and drain threes all day.

I see what you did there.

All the stars who never got a title wanting to be the bench of the Heat.

So do I, and we have an equal chance of getting on the team

Remember when MJ wanted Ewing and Barkley to join him in Washington? Man that would've been awesome.

Every over-the-hill player should join the Heat.

Here's an option for the Heat: over-the-hill retired vet who has slimmed down to his playing weight, ego-driven, lacking a championship ring, known for great passing skill in his time, instant hit with the Miami fan base - but the question is will Dan Marino sign for the NBA minimum.

Was he on the team the whole year and during the playoffs/championship game? I thought they signed him early and then he was released or put on IR or traded or something like that.
I could be wrong though.

Payton actually hit a couple of pretty big shots during that Heat title run. He kind-of platooned with Jason Williams at PG and was usually on the floor at crunch time.

Straight from Wikipedia:

He has also played with the Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat, the last with whom he won his only NBA Championship.

Guess we stand corrected but I could have sworn they released him as well.
