Why does this matter.. a young man just lost his life. Oh and btw he did play, was a rotation player before he broke his wrist.

RIP BDJ.

Signed out of D-League then got a full contract after playing well. Seems like gun violence was involved

Well, a lot of people lose their life every day who are young. The only reason this is news is because he was an apparent basketball player who I had never heard of. So I asked if the kid was a player who saw minutes and part of the future of the Pelicans or a practice player.
Feel bad for the family but I can still ask my questions even if you don't see them as relevant. Hence this is a message board.

Probably had a procedure done by the Pels medical staff.

Despicable and ignorant comment. Congrats.

Pelicans' Bryce Dejean-Jones suffered gun shot to abdomen late Friday, bled to death. Full story coming on passing of promising 23-year-old.

Senseless gun violence takes the life of another young man. RIP.

NBA player Bryce Dejean-Jones was killed early Saturday after police say he “kicked open the front door” to a Dallas apartment and the man sleeping inside woke up and shot him.

Dejean-Jones, 23-year-old guard for the New Orleans Pelicans, broke into an apartment in the 2500 block of Bennett Avenue about 3:20 a.m.

The commotion startled the man sleeping inside, who police say grabbed his handgun and “called out,” but got no answer. Police say Dejean-Jones then kicked the door to the bedroom — and the man fired.

Dejean-Jones ran out of the apartment and “collapsed in the breezeway,” police say. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

if true he absolutely deserved everything that he got.
