Not count against the cap? Why?

The cap attempts to stop big market teams from dominating the league. Otherwise the wealthiest teams would always be in the playoffs.

So, the Lakers would be the Yankees?

LeBron would be a Laker.

Every 5 years it would be Shaq and Kobe all over again as the Lakers are the only franchise that could be the Yankees.

Yeah the Lakers local tv contract would make it almost unfair to compete with on the open market. I think they make over $200M per year alone from that

I like it.

i such a start studied league it would be really cool if you could pay a man what he deserves and still be able to field a starting 5

Hell i woudl love Football taking a cap off QBs.

I bet he'd change his tune if he was the owner. Jordan used to be all for paying himself as much money as they could print - now that he's an owner the world seems different.
