Indianapolis at least has a competent coaching staff and a front office that knows what they are doing.

LOL, as a rookie, Luck lost his head coach for 12 of 16 games and still got 11 wins.

Yes.

Panthers have needs.

They can get a QB in the late first round or 2-3 rounds

no.

I'm keeping Cam and wouldn't trade him for anything.

The panthers have lost 10 games when holding the lead in the 4th qtr over the last two years. Their defense is adept at blowing it late in games to average teams.

Carolina's management needs to realize that their head coach is terrible and that they play in a division with two high powered offenses (brees, colston, sproles, graham, ryan, julio, roddy, gonzales, etc.)

They should be stocking up on offensive weapons to go alongside Cam, instead they have a 34 year old (go route) 5'9 wide receiver, a decent 30 year old tight end (who plays hard), and a bunch of special teamers lining up at the 3rd wide receiver. Not to mention a 30 year old running back who is on a steep decline.

I don't want Cam Newton on the Cleveland Browns.

Why? I thought you were a Denver fan? Keeps Cleveland down longer.

2-14 in games decided by 7 points or less. Like I've said many times, Rivera is just a bad coach

So completely choking in close games means Rivera is a bad coach, but it can't be taken as a negative on Cam? lol ok

And he won't do much going forward either. Shula is a terrible OC. He was fired by the Bucs under Dungy even though the Bucs were winning because the offense was laughable even though they had plenty of talent. Then at bama he fielded terrible offenses yearly.

Panthers will fire Shula or demote him at the end of the year. He has handcuffed Cam by taking away his runs (to protect him, lol) and not trying to stretch the field. Cam throws a great deep ball and is a huge threat running so Shula thinks it is a great idea to do neither.

Put Cam with a decent OC and put some talent around him and his team would not only put up tons of points, but Cam's fantasy stats would be better than anyone's.

Obviously not happening this year though.

Not when the defense is the one giving up late touchdowns that lose the game.

Example: Atlanta Falcons in 2012, Buffalo Bills in 2013. And I could name more, but you get the point.

In 1 1/8 seasons, Andrew Luck has won one less game than Cam has in 2 1/8 seasons.

Cam "lost" against Seattle this year when the Panthers starting RB fumbled inside the Seattle 10 yd line with 5:25 left in the game on a drive that would have given the Panthers the lead with a touchdown. The Seahawks recovered the fumble and held the ball until the clock ticked 0:00 because the Panthers defense couldn't get the ball back.

Cam "lost" against Buffalo the next week when the Panthers head coach, with 1:30 left in the game, a 20-17 lead, and Buffalo with no timeouts, chose to kick an utterly useless field goal on 4th and 1 rather than allowing his offense to get that one yard and run the clock out. He kicked the field goal, got a 23-17 lead, then handed the game to his defense who allowed Buffalo to march down the field in 1:30 with no timeouts and score a TD to win 24-23.

There's your logical fallacy in declaring that Cam "lost" these games. Cam has "lost" a LOT of games like this over the last 2+ years where the offense hands the defense a lead and blows it or the brain-dead head coach's stupidity leads to a loss.

Not saying he sucks, but isn't he usually playing from behind a lot?

Not really. Its been more often that the Panthers offense has given the team the lead and the Panthers defense loses it. So, no, Cam's stats are not "trash time" stats by and large.
