With that said, I don't think it will catch on.

Doesn't look as weird as the David Wright Great Gazoo helmet, which makes me think that, though this will not become the norm, this will become a bit more common soon.

I can't imagine how scary it is to take a liner off the melon; I'd definitely try wearing one in practice a few times and see if it works for me.

They should have made those mandatory for college pitchers instead of changing the bats. Maybe then I could watch the CWS like I want to

Before MLB mandated batters to wear helmets it was optional. Maury Wills wore a plastic insert under his cap when he batted...
