Ouachita High School to name Jeff Fitzgerald new HC

He coached ASH last season and was DC at Southeastern Oklahoma State for 5 yrs....anyone have some insight on this guy?? I've never heard of him.

He played football at ulm during later 1990s. Originally from Jena.

The word on the street is that they originally offered the job to former Ouachita coach Mike Vallery. Well part of his stipulation was bringing former Ouachita QB Todd Garvin over from WM to be OC and then turning things over to him after 3 years. I actually figured it would be the OC Larry Foster or David Nordman. I don't know anything about Fitzgerald. Hopefully he's a good hire.

Yeah, i heard Vallery was the first call as well.....doesn't surprise me that his old friend Randall Garvin tried to get a favor from him. That's typical old school Ouachita politics there, I'm glad Todd Guice nipped that shite in the bud.
FYI, Todd Garvin is a fine young asst coach at WM with a bright future....but he should get a huge job like this on merit, not because of his dad's old golfing buddy
