Open Petition to Get ESPN 104-5 to Carry the Astros

Baton Rouge's ESPN 104-5 would be the perfect affiliate of the Astros Radio Network. If they only wanted to air night games because they didn't want to interfere with local daytime programming, that would be fine, as other affiliates of the Astros Radio Network (KTKR San Antonio) also abide by this theme.
Baton Rouge's WUBR is listed as the Baton Rouge affiliate, but have not aired an Astros game since dropping the CBS Sports Radio moniker and the sports format altogether.
The closest Astros Radio Network affiliates to Baton Rouge include Lafayette's 103.7 The Game and New Orleans' WSLA 1560AM.

With the Astros' record a game over a .667 average (on pace for 109 wins), you cannot tell me the interest isn't there and that the ratings wouldn't be the same or better than the 7-10pm nationally syndicated show that ESPN Radio airs.

Say baw, get the MLB app and pay for the premium thing on audio. Not expensive at all.

Would be racist to cut the Jaguar Journal

baseball on the radio is brutal.

For 1, who the hell listens to games on the radio. If you really wanted to hear a radio broadcast of astros games im sure you could find it online for free.
And B, 104.9 has an extremely shitty signal. They aren't a baton rouge station. If they were, i wouldn't have static every morning driving in the city limits of baton rouge.

I watch all the games on mlb.tv with the assist going to a VPN site, but it would be nice to have an Astros Radio Network affiliate in Baton Rouge if a Stros fan has to drive somewhere during the game.
Also, growing up in BR, I had WIBR-AM (Team 1300) to listen to Astros games on, and when I go back to visit, it would be nice to know that BR has an Astros affiliate available on terrestrial radio. Having to use Wi-Fi data to obtain mlb at-bat or using the tune-in app is for the birds.
Now that I know an Alt-Rock station exists in Baton Rouge for the first time in 10 years (WRKN 92.3FM "Alt 92-3"), it would be nice to complete the cycle, having an Astros affiliate in BR.

They moved the Jaguar Journal a few months back to make room for that shitty He Said, She Said with that annoying broad Carley McCord. That horse shite makes the Jaguar Journal look like top-notch radio entertainment. At least Reggie Flood doesn't play Justin Bieber songs coming back from commercials.

No, no you can't. You either have to pay for it via the At-Bat App, or the Tune-in app.

104-9 is not a Baton Rouge station, but they do serve the communities south of Baton Rouge, communities that 104-5 doesn't reach. The 104-5 tower is located near the Louisiana-Mississippi state line, whereas the 104-9 tower is located near Donaldsonville.
Think of 104-5 as North Baton Rouge, and 104-9 as South Baton Rouge.

Yeah and now it's just "She Said" since Jimmy Chesthair moved.

Lord.
Gary Chambers, if you wanna protest in front of Guaranty Broadcasting about how this garbage pushed Jaguar Journal to Saturday mornings, my middle-aged white arse will be out there marching.

I don't think so. They're pretty aggressive about that. The iheart stations stream rebroadcasts of other shows during the games.
