a Pope ruled a generation ago after (multi-champ) Juan Fangio died in a racing accident that race car drivers do not get to be buried in consecrated ground if they die in a car racing accident, because he considered racing cars tantamount to suicide.

I'm not either, and don't really like boxing. But when it gets closer I'm gonna be pretty pumped just to see what they do. I imagine it's gonna be pretty crazy when they tap gloves and go at it.

Juan Manuel Fangio was 84 years old when he died.

I don't know which is shocking, that baseball still has that much money in it or that boxing does.

Both are beyond dead, where does this money come from?!?!

I know they train and devout their time to their craft.. But it's amazing how much they will make over 1 night's event.

I'm not so sure about "polarizing." Mayweather is a generally unlikable figure.

What is incredible is that all of those 13 people made that over a 7-10 year period. FM will make that much in 1 NIGHT.

I don't really care. I am a bit curious, but not all gung ho over it. I will likely stream it at front row.

Say what you want about him, but Jeter is the only baseball player on that list who gave his team its money's worth for his contract.
