During Knight's freshman year, he threw for 4 touchdowns against Alabama in one game.

You're counting on two players who transferred because they both fell to 3RD string at Oklahoma?

2013: beat Bama in sugar bowl

Trying to think of what the Aggies have accomplished

Murray started 3 games. In those three games, here were his stats:
Are you saying Murray wasn't going to be the starter in the bowl game and at the start of next season?

Murray was perceived that way before seeing him play.
Happens everywhere. See Jeremy Johnson.

If Allen had also returned? Absolutely not. If Allen was still leaving Murray probably would have started by default in the bowl game. Who knows with next year
It's a small sample size but watching Hubenak vs Louisville compared to Murray vs Auburn it's tough to say Murray is better.

Nope but I'm sure you took it seriously

I think you missed the point of my post. I wasn't denying I said it...

Yeah yeah, you thought he was a prima donna, undersized and overrated all along too, I know.

so now that Murray is transferring he's undersized and terrible?

Most Aggies, myself included, were very excited to have Kyler Murray on campus. He was an undefeated 3 year starter at the highest level of high school football in the state, his dad was a legend playing for Sherill at A&M, he brought some good talent with him in his recruiting class and it ended up being a nice head to head win over the Longhorns on NSD.
Then he flashed some nice runs in the first game of the season against ASU and people got even more excited about him being next Manziel and why wouldn't any Aggie be excited about that?
Then the QB situation unraveled and Kyler started playing like an undersized, true freshman who had never played against guys this fast and who would run him down when he couldn't get through his reads fast enough.
He shite the bed against Alabama and threw a hissy fit on the sidelines the first time he faced any real adversity. He got the benefit of the doubt from Aggies, again myself included, because we were pretty desperate for a QB. Then he shite the bed even worse against Auburn and pretty much completely checked out when he lost his job. He was gone at that point already and basically quit.
The relationship between Kevin Murray and A&M is a pretty complicated one that isn't worth your time unless you're an Aggie but he and his son certainly poisoned some wells and burned some bridges on their way out. The signs were all there with the way they handled his recruitment down the stretch but they were given the benefit of the doubt because of who Kevin Murray was.
TL;DR
A&M thought we had our next savior at QB and as Kevin Murray's son, it was a storybook script. Turns out he was overhyped, especially by Aggies, and by the time he left, he deserved every primadonna, quitter label that he got tagged with. The Murray family is basically dead to A&M football now which is pretty bizarre considering their history.

A&M fans are still so obsessed with their two Big12 big brothers. It's fantastic.
