quote:Have you ever watched basketball before? It isn't the crossover itself... it was the fact that he completely fooled the defender who went the opposite way.
He switched from his left to his right while driving and the crowd acted like the And 1 tour was in town.
And I have nothing against the Rockets btw but that was hilarious.
Every arena in the country would react the same.

Rockets acting like they just won game 7
You wouldn't know anything about that this year.

Spoiler alert: OKC will be 2 and barring a complete meltdown, you guys will be 4. It's been that way for weeks.

My team missing the postseason does not suddenly make me incapable of understanding playoff seeding.

Nope. Never.

Apparently you don't understand positioning.
The Rockets don't want to fall to 5th and lose home-court advantage. They need to keep winning.

Fisher went to reach for the ball when Harden had it in his left, and he crossed over and Fisher completely wiffed on the steal when Harden crossed over and drove past him.
Fisher reached to Harden's left, and Harden went right. Fisher got left behind.

Well technically they couldn't really fall to 5th if they had BEEN winning, right?
So really they're celebrating so hard because they get to keep the spot they've had for a month instead of choking it away to a Portland team that's been average in 2014 and missing its best player.
Sounds like a great time to party.

Harden flopped his way to 39, 9 & 7 tonight.

You sound so salty. Sorry you're a Pels fan.

Only took 20 free throws and 40% shooting, too.
I'm kidding, he looked awesome tonight.

How exactly did they celebrate so hard? Hi 5's?
Really I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I mean they clinched a playoff spot but there was no extra celebrating.
The fans cheer too much when Harden does a cross over and the team celebrates after winning a game. Some strange kind of hate lately.

My original comment was a friendly jab/observation, you guys are the ones that got so damn defensive.

I know you watched the game, but there are people who look at stats like that and assume he flopped 10 times He's one of the best in the league at getting to the line, right behind KD.

I think Harden head-butted the ball about 5 times afterwards before him and Parsons had a Duncan/Ginobili style "we just won a title" embrace at center court.
That and Beverley sprinting to the other side of the court to jump on Garcia and shove him about 4 times for hitting a 3.
It was just odd, that's all. Seemed like a playoff victory. Like I said, I really didn't mean much by it.

I hear you.
Harden has been showing much more emotion lately. He did that against Miami too. I love it.

That left-handed drive is vicious. It's either foul him or he scores.
Durant wasn't getting the calls he usually gets tonight and it shook him. That was kinda strange to see. He also looked pretty worn out. I forgot they played last night.

Not really. The crowd creamed themselves when Harden switched the ball over to his right when he was already past Fisher and Durant jumped out at him.
I just find it hilarious that the crowd reacted like that to begin with and now you guys are wasting time arguing about this

As do I. It's hard to have an issue with a player showing "too much" emotion.
