I have two sets of 1982 cards.. haven't gone through second set.. I may end up with 2 Ripken rookie cards... the cards I have are top notch mint condition... no corner flaws or anything like that.... I would say it's rare to see almost 4,000 cards that are in such great condition... I really see zero flaws in any of the ones I have went trough.....

They are all mint condition... Just wondering a place in the BR area that looks at this stuff....

They're not all in mint condition. If you bring a massive amount of cards to some local guy prepared to be fricked.

Get them graded yourself and sell for thousands if they're truly all mint.

That's what I plan on doing.... already have feelers out there... stepson was over last night and was looking online at the value of some of the older cards and I was surprised at the value of some of them... $50 here & 80 there and so on. E-bay had the Ripken card I have at over 6,000 others had it in the $1500 to $3000 range.... not sure how accurate those #s are but I believe I can get enough for all these cards that will be worth my while instead of throwing them away... hey if I come out with $700 to $ 1000 I'll be happy...

100 years is the standard. IE, a 1917 card is worth a lot today. Your 1980 cards will be worth a lot in 2080. You'll be dead. But your kids won't be.

I've got a large collection from the 1950s. They will be worth a lot in 2050. I'll be gone. That's why I'm leaving them to my grandson.

See what they are selling for on Ebay. The only place left in BR is Prime Time and all they are going to do is look them up on Ebay, then offer you less.

If he's willing to consign the dealer would probably take 10%-20%. If he sells on eBay they take 10% off the top. If he sends the pre 1986 star rookies to PSA it could push the value even higher, but good grades on those older cards are tough.

Which Ripken rookies do you have? The Topps Traded is the most desirable. The only one I could possibly see selling for $6000 is a BGS 10 (which is almost impossible to get), or a rare minor league card in a high grade. If your cards are not graded they aren't going to be worth anything near that.

I have a PSA 9 82 topps traded and it's worth roughly $200-250. I have no idea what would be 3k, maybe a black label BGS 10.

Probably need to reign it in a little and actually listen to what people are telling you.

As others have said, ungraded even these type of cards are worth maybe 50-75 dollars if they look sharp.

Yeah right...Mint 10's in your eyes, PSA 8's in theirs. And theirs is what matters. If you got offered 3k for the lot, laugh your way to the bank and don't look back.

You seem to know a lot more about this than me... you make it sound like I should just throw them all away..... like they are worthless....

I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is temper your expectations unless you get the HOF rookies graded PSA 10.

I can see this... I never expected to become rich, but they have dollar amounts all over the place for a lot of these cards.... just don't want to get screwed....
