Detroit and Green Bay have the same record while Detroit only averages 18ppg, crazy.

I like betting ugly teams and numbers, but I've been done with them since they couldn't cover 6.5 against Dallas. If they couldn't cover that number in a perfect spot...

Steelers getting 87% of the bets for tonight's game.

Is the MSB on the Titans side?

TIA

I'm on Titans +6 (-105) but don't love it. We'll see.

The steelers have a lot of injuries on defense but it's so hard to bet on a team like Titans that have no shot at playoffs b/c you don't know if they have mailed it in. I think I'm going to stay away from this game so that I can end this week on a positive note.

The Steelers may cover but if they do it won't be because the Titans mail it in. 80% of the roster is young and on minimal contracts. Most of the skill players are still auditioning for their own jobs.

I just have to be on a team getting under 15% of the wagers in the NFL, there's no avoiding it...

I don't know why it was so hard for me to understand the "betting against the public" strategy up until I read this article that basically said "If the house always wins, don't you want to be on the house side?" Thus, being on the side opposite the public, especially large differences like 75/25 and bigger, would be "betting against the public"

Like I said, I am new to this betting thing, but I have had a decent year so far betting for teams I never thought I would have.

It's more complex than that but the general idea is, "what factors would contribute to a line staying put with a large percentage of wagers on one side?"

The two easy ones are large money on the small side or the book is happy taking a position.

Yeah that makes sense. I wanted to bet on the Rams so bad yesterday, but I couldn't pull the trigger. I just knew in my gut that Vegas/Rams were going to clean up with that spread.

I know this should go in next weeks thread, but the Saints are favored by 4 next Monday Night. Is that a fricking joke?

The power of Dome primetime games being factored in heavily. I'll certainly keep an eye on that one.

I would assume the Ravens get 65-70% of the tickets there.
