Hayes should've missed the second free throw. At best they probably get a half court prayer up. Better that than an open 3

No need to second guess anything there.

Sometimes you just lose because the other team made an amazing play.

It's the only play that keeps you from getting beat by the only play that can beat you. I'd rather go to 2OT than lose on a 3 like that. The team with the ball last down 2 or less has the advantage.

Take a ten minute timeout and really think about what you are proposing and then come back to the board

All you have to say is that you forgot it was a 2 point game and not a three point game

The team I am advocating for to foul is now on their way home. So looks like it worked out for them...

Sure the opposition made a play to win the game, but Wiscy handed them the only play that beats them. I'd rather a 60% free throw shooting team have to make 2 at the line to force 2OT than lose on that shite.

Based on his FT%, there's a 61% chance he hits 2 free throws, so a 61% chance you're going to 2OT.

What do you think the FG% was on the odds of hitting that shot? 25%, at the absolute highest.

Even if you say the odds of winning in OT are 50%, that still is not as high of an EV than letting him shoot the 3, pretty sure my math is on point there.

If I hit on 18 on blackjack and get a 3, did I make the right call?

Not sure you understand process vs results with that comment you made.

78% FT shooter had the ball in his hands. Fouling gives them a worst chance to win, based on the numbers.

I can only guess he means Florida should have fouled with 6 seconds left in regulation up by 3 because that makes since

1 instance doesn't make a decision wrong

And it sounds like you're basing this on emotion, on the way they lost other than basic odds of winning and losing. The team that plays not to lose usually losses anyway

Nah, he's made it very clear that Wisky up 2 with :04 should have fouled.

Hayes doesn't deny on the last possession. Just lets the guy dribble up the court and doesn't really play defense or contest. #0 has no idea what he's doing anyway.
