Falcons at 9 actually makes sense and I hate it as a saints fan. I'm not sure who else in that 10-16 range would need a running back so you could be right if the Falcons don't take him.

Why? Everything I've read has Gurley as the top guy.

Gordon is more explosive and has greater linear speed and did not tear his ACL. He still has elite vision as well. I dont see how Gurley is even being considered over Gordon when you factor in Gurley's injury.

Gurley is the superior player. I don't care about his ACLs. One ACLs rarely effect player careers anymore

And I love Gordon's game don't get me wrong, but Gurley is a man child out there

People with much more football knowledge than you and me think Gurley is better.

Well this isn't 20 years ago. An ACL tear isn't the kiss of death it used to be. Physicians and physical therapists are far more educated on what surgieries are optimal for each patient and how to rehab ACL injuries today.

Would be a huge surprise since they pick 8th.

I know I'm a homer but I just find this hard to believe.

We all obviously aren't experts here but I always thought the gap between the two wasn't as great as people made it out to be. I thought Gurley was only slightly better and with the knee injury I put Gordon ahead of him definitively. I think Gordon goes before Gurley

Teams aren't going to draft based on which RB will be better the first 2 months of their career, they'll draft based on who will be better for them over the course of their playing days. Gurley is the better RB, he is the best RB in the draft. Him having a knee injury undoubtedly hurt his stock a bit, but if a team is looking for a RB to help them out the next 3-5 years, I imagine they'd take Gurley.

Supposedly per Rotoworld the police will not meet with Collins until after the draft.

He may go undrafted now. Terrible situation.

I don't watch enough college ball to give an opinion on who is better. I was just addressing dnm's statement. The talent evaluators see something in Gurley that gives him the edge.

No chance he goes undrafted

Eventually his value will far out reach the risk of him never playing a down and someone will pick him. 3 round would he the worst case senerio for him there

I don't believe that for a second.

Just like I don't believe that Shane Ray will fall out of the 1st & 2nd Rds

Could have something to do with Wisconsin RBs padding stats in college and sucking in the NFL. Gordon was a very good college player, but he wasn't any better than Montee Ball, Anthony Davis and Ron Dayne. And he certainly wasn't better than Todd Gurley. Gurley has a size/speed/power combination that few human beings on this planet can match. Melvin Gordon is not one of them.
