frick those corrupt legislators that stood in the way and frick the unions that paid the bribes/campaign contributions.

Ticket prices are going to be outrageous in MSG and southern states will get less UFC cards but it's a huge plus for MMA fans and up and coming fighters to be able to fight in NYC.

At least 4 a year in NY in the next 3 years according to Lorenzo Fertitta's comments.

He clearly speaks as a connoisseur of that particular genre of cinema.

Post some dam links

Seriously, Your comment didn't make any sense to me until I read an article on the issue. I didn't even know MMA was banned in New York.

quote:

For the first time in nearly 20 years, professional mixed martial arts is set to become a legal activity in the state of New York. The New York State Assembly passed a bill Tuesday that lifts a ban on professional MMA that had been in place since 1997. The bill passed by a vote of 113-25. It required 76 votes to pass.

quote:

MMA will fall under the jurisdiction of the New York State Athletic Commission. The NYSAC has 120 days to adopt the necessary statutes to regulate the sport. An often overlooked aspect of the bill is that it also regulates MMA on an amateur level. Under previous law, New York state officials did not oversee amateur MMA, which meant there were no safety guidelines, such as pre-fight physical examinations or ambulances and physicians on site.

MMA is a work like professional wrestling. That's fine with me, but don't act like MMA does not have predetermined outcomes.

Expect more events at Barclays over MSG. It's a cheaper option for organizations to work and a much easier sellout

This is such bullshite. These are real athletes in a real sport. I can't believe you would say that about wrestling.

You might be right about MMA, though.

This is just really dumb but how can you watch UFC 196 and think that the 2 main events were predetermined? I'm sure the UFC really wanted their cash cow Irish boy to get rocked and choked the frick out by Nate Diaz, a guy they refuse to promote.

Also why did I get 5 downvotes for posting what Odonnell's brother said? Those weren't my thoughts
