That's a tricky line. ND waxed them last year but Navy really sucked losing 7 games. The three years before (when they only lost 3-4 games each year) they beat or play ND close.
Just don't know what type of team Navy is supposed to have...their usual 3-4 loss season or last year's crap-fest.

Assuming it's raining and the playing surface sucks (as it usually does during the NFL game in London every year) that could be a very tricky line considering Navy's offense

I had tickets to this game, but some family issues happened and we aren't going anymore 
One of my friends plays for Navy, I love Ireland, my uncle was a Naval submarine captain and went to the academy. I grew up watching them play. I hope they win.
Too bad because it's in Ireland everyone will be blowing ND

Even though it's phony connection and Navy will be the home team...and Navy has a real Irish connection...the Father of the US Navy was from Ireland.

Our Lady is only irrelevant if they lose to Navy.
ND is favored in nearly all their games.
Southern Cal is -14, Oklahoma is -11 @ Norman

Navy will be a borderline bowl team again this year. Last year they lost five games by three points or less, including at South Carolina. Trey Miller split time last year and still has a learning curve with the triple option. I think Navy could eke out a win here if ND doesn't show up.

London and Dublin are not the same. Aviva Stadium is primarily a rugby stadium, whereas Wembley is primarily a soccer stadium. The pitch maintenance is different, as is how they are used by the sports (and thus wear and tear is accrued).
Plus, it's early enough in the season that the field should be good.

Do the people in Ireland know that Notre Dame has black players on their team? Ths can turn into a racial Euro soccer scene if their not informed....

The Father of the Navy
On February 22, 1797, President Washington called Barry to the President's Mansion at 190 High (Market) Street, to receive Commission Number One in the Navy which was dated June 4, 1794, the date of his original selection. The formal ceremony took place on Washington's birthday.
Barry outfitted and supervised the construction of the first frigates built under the Naval Act of March 27, 1794, including his own forty-four gun frigate the USS United States, which was to serve as his flagship. The United States slid into the water on May 10, 1797, under Barry's helm.
He authored a Signal Book in 1780, which established a set of signals to be used for effective communication between ships voyaging in squadron formation. Barry also suggested the creation of a Department of the Navy with separate cabinet status from the Secretary of War. This was finally realized with the formation of the United States Department of the Navy in 1798. Barry's suggestions about establishing government-operated navy yards were also realized. So many of the heroes of the War of 1812 were trained under Barry's tutelage that he earned the sobriquet, "Father of the Navy."
In placing Barry at the head of the Navy, George Washington stated he had special trust and confidence "in [Commodore Barry's] patriotism, valor, fidelity and abilities." Neither Washington, Barry's old friend, nor the Nation ever had reason to regret the selection of Barry as head of the Navy. Barry played a vital role in establishing the earliest traditions of the Navy: faithful devotion to duty, honoring the flag, and vigilant protection of the rights of the sovereign United States.

This is a pretty big game for both schools. I was at the USNA last season for the AFA vs. Navy game, and people were already talking about it in Anapolis. My heart is with Navy (spent some years in uniform) but I think ND will win big.
