ND should be the talk of best school in the state with a lot less to work with than most other schools especially Catholic High and others. We won the sports that actually matter. Football, Baseball and the others Golf and Girls softball.

they're in a lower classification and have no other private schools in their area. Their situation is not analogous to Catholic High. Also, there is a lot of steroids at that school.

Notre Dame recruits athletes all around the state. That why they're always good in football. There is no way a bunch of rich preppy white boys are going to accomplish all these titles.

They don't recruit, they just have huge lines and run the shite out of the football. And if it were just the German ancestry at play, why aren't some of these huge kids being picked up for D1 football? They're not because the college coaches can see through it.

Honestly, if you knew the area, you'd know that these aren't a bunch of rich, preppy kids. These are by far mostly middle class and lower middle class kids whose parents want to send them to the same school they went to or who reach up to give their kid a chance at ND. There are lots of kids at ND who come from hard working backgrounds on all of the farms around the area. And there are lots of kids with French names too! In my time at ND in the early 80's, there was no recruiting going on. Our kids were usually equal in size to the other private schools but often smaller than the kids at the public schools. We always had good coaching and that won us a lot of ball games. They've got great coaching now and have expanded that coaching to sports such as ladies' softball and volleyball. ND also has great support from its parents and alumni. My cousins all tell me that ND had twice as many fans in the Dome for the football championship game as Parkview had. It's a smaller school than Parkview and they had to travel twice as far (wasn't too far though).

Original poster - the ladies volleyball team also finished runner up in the championship game. A great, great year for Notre Dame athletes, athletics programs and fans! I can't remember a year when we did this well in so many sports! Go Pios! Congratulations on an outstanding year!
