Barry Bonds should be a sure-fire HOFer.

I don't see why people call it dumb, the only 2 on that list that should get in are Schilling & Edgar. The rest were either roiders, compilers, or flat out not HOF worthy

Piazza not getting in is a joke. If you're the best hitter at your position ever, you belong in the HOF.

Wow, a whole lot of dumb in this thread. I know there are Astros fans all over this site, but Biggio IS NOT a HOF. In fact, I'm not surprised nobody was selected. They shouldn't have been. The baseball writers got this right IMO.

Doesn't bode well for Bonds's chances at the Hall of Fame.

This is plainly untrue. If you made a roster of the average Hall of Famer (just one step below the "inner circle"), the guys on this ballot are pretty much better at every position.

It's white washing an entire era of baseball -- or pretty much everything past 1982.

You think Piazza is the best hitting catcher of all time?

Ya 3,060 hits, no right hander ever has more doubles than his 600+, all star at multiple positions, 400+ stolen bases. Dude sucks. You gonna be mad when he gets in next year despite not being a hall of famer?

Good.

Keep the roiders out of the HOF.

None if the steroid guys should be elected. Kudos to the voters. At least for this year,

I know where this is going and stop being so defensive.

Piazza OPS+ numbers crush every other catcher.

His 143 tops the next best HOF Torre and Cochrane at 129
