Considering before the season this was supposed to be Alabama's rebuilding year...don't blame him one bit.

He says things every year that are hypocritical and most convenient for him. For example, 2011: Conference championships (or winning divisions, even) are not important. 2014: Winning your conference is very important.

i thought they just reloaded? they had like a 5th year qb and the nations best college football player though. sims just set their all time qb stats and yet he sucks.
what's next year's excuse for them.. new starting qb? or is that a rebuilding season as well?
alabama is losing glory and not dominate versus decent teams any more.

I did too. Very surprised that he said it.
His team played very well. They fought to the end. A coach should be giving credit where it is due as opposed to shitting all over his team after a close loss.

The outcome is no different than LSU 2011. Won the conference, lost in the post season...yet a lot of LSU fans think that whole season was meaningless.

Alabama had to play a rematch against a team they beat who didnt win their division?
Also if Saban believed the bullshite he says he wouldnt have whored himself out to get in the 2011 title game.
