Now everyone is fighting

Crazy fricking game. That long as frick delayed penalty 6 on 5 and subsequent PP in the 3rd had me nervous as hell. ELLIOT came through big.

Should be a fun finish to the playoffs race

I doubt Adidas will make drastic changes to the uniforms like football. I hate the collars on most of the Nike uniforms.

On alternates? I don't, I would guess they make some crazy loud alternates in their first few attempts for teams.

I don't mind the collars on the NFL/college teams but I wear a lot of vneck as is.

Really wish they would have just stuck with Reebok, since Reebok at least makes NHL gear and has been involved with hockey for a long time. Adidas doesn't even make hockey gear do they?

I don't think Adidas will make any drastic changes to any uniforms. I don't see NHL teams wanting anything too bold, though I wish a few teams would go back to their awesome '80s or '90s uniforms.

Nike has put some shitty looking reflective stripes on the collar on a lot of their uniforms, and it greatly pisses me off. Take a close look at the collar on Arkansas's uniforms. Tigers have them on the collar too, and it greatly annoys me. I also hate how a lot of the uniforms have a half/incomplete stripe on the collar. It looks lazy, and makes the uniform look unfinished. Nike briefly made NHL uniforms in the '90s, but only for a few teams.

Link to shitty looking partial stripe on collar for some Nike uniforms. According to link Nike was supposed to stop putting them on uniforms, but 3 years later some teams are still stuck wearing them. I don't see Adidas doing anything like that.

Yeah it just varies team to team, I have 2 authentic Raiders jerseys and they have no reflective stripes or alternate colored collars. I don't care for the reflective on the college jerseys, although on the road whites you don't really notice it and it's not too bad.

Adidas is the NBA jersey maker and they almost all have the vneck as well. They have always loved the weird arse random stripes and trying new terrible ideas/patterns.

Link to shitty looking reflective stripes on bottom of collar. Maybe they somehow improve performance, but they look awful.

I'll take the reflective stripes all day over what Adidas has been trying these last few years for college and pro.

For the record, TSN was told Adidas wants to make big changes and include ads.

quote:

A source told TSN that the deal would surely mean big changes to uniform designs, perhaps with Adidas’s familiar three-stripe trademark being added to some or all team jerseys. “The NHL might not want big changes like that, but for the money Adidas will pay, they’ll be pretty aggressive pushing to make the NHL jerseys identifiable with their brand,” the source said.

quote:

The National Hockey League appears poised for radical changes to its team jerseys in the wake of a deal that may pave the way for advertising on team uniforms. Adidas has won a long-term deal to make uniforms for the 30 NHL teams, beginning in the 2017-18 season.

Moving to a new jersey supplier may be a natural transition for the NHL to begin introducing on-jersey advertising, several league sources told TSN.

I don't like the V neck collars. Another dumb change that serves no purpose. Raiders are one of the few teams that didn't have the half stripe or reflective stripes on their collar. I think those wacky Adidas basketball uniforms have been discontinued. Most of the Adidas football uniforms look terrible.

Stripes on bottom collar of the uniform that make it look too busy. And serve no purpose.

Yikes, I guess I stand corrected. frick Adidas then. I would rather Reebok kept the contract. I cringe thinking what Adidas will come up with. The advertising on the top of the glass behind the net is bad enough.
