Yeah that was a terrible move. They're trying to make it the biggest event like the FIFA World Cup. But soccer is a special sport in that regard. No one cares about the Hockey World Cup. The Olympics is the biggest and most important international stage for every other sport.

This poll is complete bullshite. No doubt the NHL worded the question to get the answer they wanted. No shite the majority of fans are against taking a long break in the middle of their favorite sports season. If the question was just "should the NHL compete in the Olympics?" and the majority would have said yes.

This is such a huge disappointment. The NHL tries so hard to get people not to watch their sport.
