I've always loved how people say the MLB is dying.

How does the NBA only rake in $4.8 billion when their TV deals are more than double the amount MLB gets from their TV deals...

It's not necessarily dying, I just find it boring 90% of the time.

The MLB has a lot of fans right now but their problem is the youth market. When this generation is older with kids the MLB will be less popular.

I don't think that's true at all. There are tons of young stars in MLB right now. Also, baseball is bound to be more popular with more and more people taking their kids out of football.

I don't necessarily know if that's true. If you go to a baseball game today there are a ton of kids at the ball park, baseball is still a popular sport amongst Americas youth. Factor in the inevitable decline of the NFL in the next quarter century and I think baseball does just fine

The data tells otherwise but whatever.

Also the NFL is always gonna be popular. Doesn't matter if less white kids in the suburbs play it cause they're still gonna watch.

Just search anything about league demographics. Kids latch onto stars and the MLB does a terrible job of marketing stars.

The MLS (not simply soccer) is apparently as popular as MLB among youth. I like soccer and I don't even watch that shite so if thats true it says a lot.

So it's safe to say the WNBA is a non-profit organization?

Where did you get those numbers? Both are around $81 Million per year.

Edit: Forbes

Ronaldo is highest paid athlete in the world, Messi is #2, Lebron is #3
