I think Clowney has all the potential in the world. But if the dude looks this bad with basically top 5 draft pick status already locked up, what's gonna happen when it actually happens? I'm gonna be pretty interested to see how his draft process goes.
Reminds me a lot of Daquan Bowers. Scouts drooling over him as a #1 pick for practically a year and a half. Then all of a sudden come draft day he plummets to the second round. I know that was more injury related and I absolutely don't think Clowney lasts til the second round, but the parallels are pretty similar.

I actually agree. He has all the tools, but he seems extremely lazy. He'll get his big pay day either way.Damn y'all are trying way too hard to hate on Clowney. Does his first 2 years in college mean nothing now? Like the OP states, he hasn't proven anything in the NFL and that works both ways, he hasn't proven he's lazy at all. I understand many of y'all don't watch a lot of USC games so take a chill pill on this shite. Whichever NFL team gets him is gonna get a hellavu good pass rusher that'll be solid for many many years, with the potential to be Pro-bowl/HOF material.
Homer much?

Seemed like he mailed it in to not get injured before the season started. I've seen a few USCe games and I've seen him walking around. He looks lazy to me or just didn't care.

Is he going to sign his rookie deal and then tank it so he can get his second, larger deal?

Thought at one point to be a possible No. 1 overall talent, Bowers' knees didn't pass the inspection of any team. Some worry he'll lose speed or need to be a passing-down only player -- and those are the ones that like him. Several teams have Bowers red-flagged, meaning that their medical staff would not sign off on the player being picked at all, let alone high in the draft.

New Orleans Saints: Odell Beckham, WR, LSU The Saints could use another receiver. Marques Colston has disappointed this season, yet he's still New Orleans' top option by a wide margin. Pick change; previously Jeoffrey Pagan, DE/DT
I'd be pretty excited to get OBJ in the 3rd round. Would be a solid receiver, big play guy, and returner.
Not sure what he means that Colston is the top option by a wide margin. Graham says hello.

I guess you missed where Bowers led the nation in sacks, was the most dominant defender in the country, and the slam dunk top overall pick before he had to have his knee completely rebuilt.

Well they got the 32nd pick right but Richardson will be playing for do Saints not the Seahawks !
Other thoughts:
-It'd be funny for Boyd and Clowney to both go to Houston. Add them to the lovely practice duels I'm sure Nuk and Swearinger have.
-Lee with Megatron would be stupid scary. You'd see two deep safeties 20 yards off the screen.
-Lol at someone taking Anthony Johnson at the 36th pick, wouldn't take him before the 3rd round.
-Tuitt would be awesome paried with Kerrigan.
-Don't think Joyner will go that high because of his height, but he's gonna make someone really happen.
-Please God let the Panthers take Craig Loston. What Brees would do to him would be epic.
-Texans would have one of the best drafts of all-time if they get Clowney, Boyd, and Skov.
-Gimme Jarvis Landry over OBJ any day of the week for the Saints.

It would be a big mistake for the Saints to draft Beckham before Landry. Landry has the Hands of Velcro, runs better routes and is the ultimate team player. Beckham would be a good special teams player, because he will drop passes. But if any NFL team is looking for reliability, consistency and physical toughness, they should draft Landry before Beckham.
