How do you not run the ball when your opponent has no time outs left to close the game out? Even if they don't get the first down, they would have had to punt with less than 10 seconds left. Wow. Just wow.

Uh. It was a called bootleg where the QB was instructed not to throw it. He screwed up. Also, why would you punt inside the 35? The wind was too high to kick a FG. Only option was to go for it and clinch the win or give Illinois the ball with just under 20 sec left.

Nebraska being a solid program is done. Firing Pelini for Mike Riley was the final nail in the coffin.

Illinois was out of timeouts, Nebraska had the ball at Illinois 27 yard line with under a minute to go.

You can't lose that game.

Nebraska is finding ways to lose this season. It's impressive.

Bo Pelini has Youngstown State at 3-1 and very nearly pulled off the upset at Pitt. Pelini should not have left LSU for Nebraska. He should have waited for a better position. Nebraska just can't recruit anymore and they're just like Texas. Stuck with Osbourn running things just like Texas was stuck with Mack Brown running things. Both programs have made changes, now, but change comes slowly.

Yeah, when you lose to Illini, your program is bottoming out, quickly.

What does it say when you almost lose to Indiana? Oh, you get to keep a #1 ranking.
