NCAA fighting to keep USC/McNair case files sealed

I know there's not much love for USC around here, but there seems to be plenty of NCAA hate. So in case anyone cared I thought I'd post this CBS article.
For those unaware, last week the L.A. Times and New York Times filed an action for documents in USC/McNair case to be unsealed, and shockingly, the NCAA doesn't want that.

If that's released, coupled with the Miami investigation revelations...
The NCAA will be subject to public calls to simply call it quits.
The curtain has been removed - the Wizard is nothing more than a biased, hypocritical, political, shady and vindictive worm...no better than any fan.
Hell, I'd think I'd rather have had an LSU fan who posts on TD make the ruling on USC than Paul Dee.

be careful what you wish for... someone's going to oversee bigtime athletics in the future, be it the NCAA or some other body... sometimes the enemy you know is better than the one you don't know.
Obviously the NCAA has real credibility issues right now, but there's no guarantee that someone else could do it better.

Exactly. If the NCAA goes down, what do you replace it with? While it obviously has flaws,in the big picture, I'll still back it over the scum bag agents, runners, and outlaws in college sports.

my guess is the inmates (bigtime programs) will start running the asylum... the system will be viewed by the general public as even more currupt than it is now.
