College football fans all know the lesser bowl games are just a way to practice, and scrimmage, to get your younger players ready for next season. LSU fans all remember Tyrann Mathieu having the best game of his 2010 freshman season at the Cotton Bowl.
These days it's also a good place to have high school kids come watch your team. It also keeps your name out there for those kids.
During College Gameday this season, Herbstreet mentioned the media needed to concentrate on the bowl games instead of talking about the four teams in the playoff. Let's see if ESPN can really do that.

The setup for football in the Ballpark is so awful. Just disgusting that the Rangers were able to convince those rubes in Arlington to give them a new stadium for more than it would have cost to dome the Ballpark.
