Trash. Before and after his injuries. He never had what it takes. Complete insanity to take him #1 overall in the draft.
LOL
You're an idiot and are basing this off of absolutely no shred of evidence to support your theory

The answer is here.
Len Bias died and was not injured too long.

Add Arvydas Sabonis.
The guy got screwed by the Soviets playing him through injuries and into the ground.
I want to see footage of old Sabonis the way people (even American Players) describe him he sounds like a 7'3" Slavic Lebron.
Seriously, people talk about him as a top 5 All time level player pre injury.

Sabonis was the best player not in the NBA before he tore his Achilles.

Yeah easily.
Bill Walton is your center.
Bill Walton could have been the GOAT center of all-time if not for injuries and medical malpractice by the Blazers.
Even John Wooden said he'd take Walton over Kareem in college and most people consider Kareem the greatest collegiate player of all-time.
Walton went from 3X College Player of the Year with two consecutive 30-0 seasons...to NBA Finals MVP in 2 years.
He smokes Sampson.

Does a motorcycle crash count as an injury?
If so, Jay Williams.
If so, Jay Williams.

I don't know the details but he sued the franchise and settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

I know at one point he claimed the team had strapped him down to give him painkilling injections, which the other players insisted never happened.

Walton left after demanding to be traded, and while accusing the team of pressuring him to play through what had become repeated foot and ankle injuries. He also sued the team physician, Dr. Robert Cook, and one of his closest friends, trainer Ron Culp, over the quality of treatment and care by the Blazers medical staff.
But just before his rookie season, he had knee surgery. Then during his rookie season he missed 47 of the 82 games because of foot ailments. In his second season, he broke his ankle and missed 31 games. Even in the championship season he hurt his ankle, missing 17 games.
But the last straw was the 1977-1978 season, the year after the championship. The Blazers were rolling with a league-best 50-10 record when a slew of players went down with injuries, including Walton. He returned for the playoffs, but broke his foot in the second game of the first series against Seattle. The Blazers lost, and Walton decided he wanted out of Portland.
An out-of-court settlement has been reached in Bill Walton's $5.6 million suit against the team physician of the Portland Trail Blazers. The settlement was announced today, more than two years after the suit was filed and five years after Walton led the Trail Blazers to the National Basketball Association title.
''Part of the settlement agreement was that the parties will not discuss the terms of the case,'' Mr. Bassett said. The Oregon Journal quoted a source close to the case as saying that the settlement ''was strictly a nickel and a dime,'' indicating Walton did not get much money.

Walton's biggest problem was that his feet were almost cruelly ill-fitted to carry a 7-footer through an 82-game NBA season. From the ankles up, he was a prototype player.

Except the evidence of watching him play basketball.

Holy shite. Judging by the number of downvotes, all the geniuses in this thread thought drafting Oden #1 was a good idea.
