About to take the green flag at Talladega.

Richard Childress just led the pace laps driving Dale Sr.’s car from his last win, which happened at the Talladega fall race in 2000.

Jr doing his thing in the booth. The drivers can’t see cause of those “giant arse spoilers”. I laughed out loud.

Rain is getting close to the track. It’s just a narrow band of rain, but there is a larger mass of rain over west Alabama moving east.

And the wicker bill from way back. It was good to see the real -#3 out on the track.

TWC app shows the big rain won’t be in the area until 430-5. I’m hoping it holds off.

I think it’ll be there sooner than that based on radar. Even if the bigger mass of rain takes until 4:30 or 5, if this first band of rain produces enough to lose the track, it’ll take at least two hours (if it stops raining before the rest of the rain gets there) to dry the track.

Blue dot above the word “Talladega” is where the track is.

Yes, rain picked up again. Takes atleast 2 hours to dry the track and Dega doesn’t have lights.
