the "source" for your link doesn't say anything about it being failed. looks like you're assuming a little too much

quote:

The NFL’s drug-testing policies typically treat a diluted sample as a positive sample.

quote:

It’s unclear whether this will shield Mettenberger from the substance-abuse program upon arrival at the NFL. More importantly, it’s unknown whether teams will accept the explanation and not regard the outcome as a red flag regarding efforts to mask either drug use or, given his effort to recover quickly from a torn ACL, the use of performance-enhancing substances.

quote:

I'm sure you'll disappear now

quote:

ProFootballTalk.com reported that Mettenberger tested positive for having a diluted urine sample, which counts as a failed test under the NFL’??s drug program.

except I just copied what PFT said and they never said he failed.

The fact that Mett's diluted drug test came out days before the draft may have hurt him slightly.

Or it could just be the fact that he's coming off a serious injury and he wasn't able to participate in almost all of the other things the other quarterbacks did leading up to the draft.

Teams have known about this for awhile.

You are correct. It was made public to us last week.

Does that mean that the reported back issues carries more weight now?

I quoted where it exactly says it is a failed test

I'm so fricking tired of trying to explain shite to you. Every thread you're in involves people having to explain common knowledge things. You are a fricking moron and everyone on this board knows it so why not take a timeout because I'm sick of feeling like I'm responsible for education

you quoted an assumption from SI they reached from what I quoted from their source, PFT which does not say the NFL or teams are treating it as failed.

and I'm the moron?

Murray and neither of the other 2. And I don't even like Murray that much. I'd take Mett over McManager though

so I guess since you can directly link where the NFL or teams say it's a failed test, you're just going to get your panties in a wad and disappear.

The test was diluted

The NFL treats a diluted test as a failure

What are you missing here?

I can't link it because I'm on my phone and when I google "NFL diluted drug test" all I get is stories about Mett failing

Try it...just add .com to the end of google in that bar up top...

Yes, yes you are

Lets examine another case handled by the NFL, shall we?
quote:

Von Miller is facing a six-game suspension for violation of the league's substance policy, according to league sources, but the sides still are negotiating as representatives of the Denver Broncos linebacker are trying to get the ban reduced to four games.

Miller is not likely to go forward with an appeal, though all sides were trying to finalize the suspension's conditions. In the test that triggered the suspension, multiple sources say Miller was flagged for a "diluted sample."

Does the NFL typically make it a point to mention people that pass their drug tests?
