Nah he proved me right all along, brother. He is who I thought he was, a bitch.

Great season, Cam. Regular season champion.

And at the time my comparison was spot on. He did go on to have a season worthy of the MVP trophy. And then the reason I've always disliked that douche came out on the biggest stage in front of the millions (the rock voice) AND MILLIONS of people watching. And. It. Was. Mother. fricking. Glorious.

I don't hate Cam Newton. Before they shutdown DFS in Alabama recently, I used Cam quite a bit in 2015.

and then I bet another $300 on the Broncos to cover a 6 point spread in the Super Bowl.

like taking candy from a baby.

Let the hate flow. Considering the majority of posters on here reside in Louisiana and cheer for LSU and New Orleans, it's expected. Carolina is a rival and Cam Newton dominated everyone during his time in college.

Yea, he sucked in the playoffs.

vs Seattle: 1 touchdown, 166 yards passing, 108.3 rating
vs Arizona: 4 touchdowns, 335 yards passing, 47 yards rushing, 117.4 rating

It wasn't until Denver where Carolina's whole team was exposed.

No, it wasn't.

I'm sure it'll be mother-fricking glorious to see Carolina own that division for the 4th straight year while they're still atop the NFC, too.

Nothing he did is anything new, others have done it.

Walk off the stage during inteviews? Big deal, he answered questions. Bitch at the refs? Don't quarterbacks do that all the time?

As I said, the hate of him is understandable considering the website is centered around posters that reside in Louisiana, and a ton of posters from SEC schools.

To some people it doesn't matter if you are an Angel coming down from Heaven. There are going to be people that finds any little thing to not like that Angel and think the Angel is a douchebag

This very well may happen, but the odd of him returning to the Superbowl this season are slim to none. Superbowl losers routinely follow up that season with one not as good.

15-1. Not a chance. Top seed, I don't see it. I'll give them 11-5 with either a loss in the wildcard or 2nd round. I also don't expect his numbers to be as good as this last season, not from an efficiency standpoint. If he does, THEN I will put him in that top tier category (Brady, Rodgers, Breed). Wilson is closer to that tier than Cam at the moment, because collectively he has had much better seasons. He is fringe elite, and will get in there. Cam, we'll see. Don't think he'll be able to maintain his style of play well into his 30s either, because he lacks the accuracy. EXCELLENT runner, obviously, but lacks consistent accuracy.

He's overly goody two shoes to the point that it seems contrived to a lot of people.

That's true.

I could understand why some people think Jay Cutler (one of my favorite players, BTW) or Phillip Rivers are douches, but Russell Wilson is awesome, IMO.

As Cam Newton ages, his passing will get better.

We have already seen it just last year with a group of Ted Ginn Jr, Philly Brown, rookie Devin Funchess, Greg Olsen, Jericho Cotchery, Brenten Bersin, Kevin Norwood and so forth. It was the worst unit in the NFL and he excelled.

Plus, his accuracy issue isn't as bad as people lead on. He's a career 60% completion percentage guy.

Now he gets Devin Funchess in year 2, Kelvin Benjamin back from an ACL tear, Greg Olsen another year, Ted Ginn Jr as a #2 or #3 where he belongs, a talented Stephen Hill, Philly Brown as depth and so forth.

Also, Cam Newton is currently the best deep ball passer in the NFL.

JJ watt.

I hated Cam at Auburn but he hasn't bothered me as much later in his career.

Huh? What does Russell Wilson do that annoys you? He has never said or did one bad thing in his life to anybody.

That's exactly why. Ever seen a press conference/interview? If you've seen 1 you've seen every one he's ever done. He can be asked a simple lackadaisical question and he still spills out the same bullshite "It's just something we as a team have strived for and learned from. I'm so grateful to have the teammates I have. We're all chasing the goal". That's the answer no matter the question. He literally tried to spin the pro bowl as something important and that it was the "first game of next season"

You are blinded by the Aurbun love. I think he is a great player. But you are STILL making excuses for him after his acting like a pussy after he choked in the biggest game of his life. Did he have the right to be upset???? Sure. But he could have showed a little more maturity.
