MVP?

He's having an incredible day but trout, altuve, and Donaldson are still ahead

I'd probably vote for Trout, but after today he is with Donaldson and Altuve as the top challengers. Guy is a star.

I called this on the Fantasy board back in March and got a ton of crap for it.

To me it depends on everyone's teams. If we went by individual production, he would be 4th or 5th. Trout, Donaldson, and Altuve have been the best position players in the AL this year. Betts and Machado are a group right behind them.
Trout is tops in WAR because of the combination of his offense, base running, and defense, but he wont win once again because of traditional voters.
That leaves Donaldson, Altuve, Machado, and Betts. All are on teams that arent guaranteed a playoff birth. If one player and team shines in the next six weeks, then he will be the front runner for the award.

Still the best baseball name in the biz.
He's Dustin Pedroia with a little bit more power.

Andrew Benintendi is a pretty solid name. Quite an outfield duo for the future.

Mookie betts got mvp votes last season and you think calling him a possible mvp is a bold prediction

And JBJ who is still top 20 in WAR.

More bold than any other prediction on here for MVP. He got less than l% of the vote along with 12 other people, hell Kiermaier got more votes than him.

You know who's been incredibly underrated this season: Charlie Blackmon for Colorado. This guy would get a lot more attention if he wasn't on the Rockies.

He's almost a coin flip as far as talent and has better stats than Trout in many categories this year. Also, He'll cost you $100 million dollars less in free agency...I'll take Mookie.
I said after the first few games the Red Sox had the best offense in the AL and was mocked for overreacting....
