There are so many leagues, affiliations, levels, etc that it is impossible to keep track of. In every age group, there are probably 20+ state champs.

No quite a few of those kids had just finished their freshman season at Neville.

Do they have a league or do they pull a team together and pay the league money and then take this "select" dixie youth team to all stars.

I coach in the Monroe league and they all played in the league the entire time. Some used to play USSSA but, a couple of them decided to only play Dixie to win a world series. Looks like they are going for #2. They are a great group of guys for sure. I haven't heard but, I think the 13's were undefeated as well. I know both groups won state as 11 year olds. The 13's weren't even contested until the championship when they played a travel team out of Jena and still won by a couple runs. Monroe has a great Dixie program, they have not had the loss to travel that most other leagues have had.

Thunder team played the Monroe Dixie All Stars last year and beat them 36-2 in 2 games, . Both teams were 12 at the time..

To be fair that was not this or the 13's team. That 12 yo team was comprised of 1 of 2 all star teams that Monroe has at that age. I watched that game and they were playing on 46/60 field with the Thunder leading off and MAS not. Two completely different situations.

The 13's played the WM bulldogs and Athletics as 11yo and beat both it the same type of game. Both of these age groups are prob the best teams in these age groups that Monroe has seen in a long time.
