The Reds have pushed Cueto's start back. Should we read anything into this?

The Yankees are activating Ivan Nova. He'll throw on Wednesday.

The Yankees will carry a 6-man rotation, at least as of now. Very interesting. I like it.

Nova and Pineda off injuries in the recent past. Tanaka struggling with the elbow, and maybe headed for Tommy John eventually. Sabathia could probably use less of a workload.

Gonna be interesting.

I'm a big fan of the six man rotation personally. More teams should do it.

How many teams have 6 legitimate, healthy starters?

The Yankees actually have a 7th usable started in Capuano who is now coming out of the bullpen.

I wouldn't call him a reliable starter, because that's probably why he's in the bullpen now. But he's been a legitimate starter throughout his career.

I guess you have to get lucky and be healthy.

Warren is a great inning eater, back of rotation guy. He won't wow you but he does enough for you to win

The Royals still hold 7 of 9 starting spots, but the Tigers' Miguel Cabrera surpassed Eric Hosmer at 1B and the Angels' Mike Trout now leads both Lorenzo Cain and Alex Gordon in the OF vote. Hosmer had been in line to be KC's 8th starter.

When Stras comes back next week the nats could potentially have:

Stras
Scherzer
Zimm
Gio
Fister
Ross

Also have Roark too

Yeah but even so we're keeping our head above water.

Ross was really impressive.

they should be running away with the division but they have struggled mightily pitching, defense, and even offense outside of Harper. For a team many thought had very little holes, they have a lot now.

Iglesias just made a great defensive stop, then gets an infield hit.

They are one of the few teams that could pull it off, but I don't see why you'd want to purposefully take 5 starts away from Max Scherzer each year.

They just crushed the Cards for 9 yesterday, but before that, I don't know. They are remarkably awful.
