From 2014-2016, the line was $189 million . Revenue after the 2013 season was $8 billion, It is is currently at $10 billion. By the end of the CBA(2021) the line will be $210 million or an increase of $21 million over 7 years. At that time revenue is projected to be between $12-13 billion and the most optimistic execs say it will be at $15 billion. If we go with the low estimate of $12 billion, then league revenue will have gone up 50% while the tax threshold will have only gone up 11%. If the tax line increased proportionally to revenue than the threshold would be around $280 million in 2021

What point are you trying to make here?

That the MLBPA got bent over in the new CBA. Player salaries won't rise in proportion to revenue . The tax line should be much higher

Why do some fans care about the revenue splits in professional sports. As long as they continue to play ball, I don't care if it's 50/50 or 90/10.
