. you made a blanket statement that suggested position should have no bearing on MVP voting.

Dude, is there any sports related thread in which you don't randomly bring up a Boston team?

No shite

This thread is golden. All of the usual MSB MLB homers came out of the woodwork for this one

Can't wait for the Cubs to be good one day so I can get involved

WTF does catching have to with it?

Well his stats are pretty much right there with Beltran and Holliday and he's doing it while playing a much much tougher defensive position.

AVG:

Holliday - .323
Posey - .329
Beltran - .286

HR:

Holliday - 21
Posey - 17
Beltran - 26

OPS:

Holliday - .958
Posey - .932
Beltran - .901

OPS+:

Holliday - 159
Posey - 164
Beltran - 142

Offensive WAR:

Holliday - 4.4
Posey - 4.5
Beltran - 3

So yeah when the offensive numbers are really similar I'll go with the guy catching over the corner OF.

I hate that you are a Cardinals fan

Well that's rude.

Why are you a Cardinals fan again? With the Saints and LSU, shouldn't you be a Braves or Rangers or Astro's fan? Or Yankee's or Mets?

Trout played too much to get ROTY right?

He'll win the MVP IMO.

NL CPOY- Burnett

Burnett isn't eligible for CPOY is he? 11-11 last year with 190 IP.

The past years winners have missed a bunch of time the year before (Berkman, Hudson, Carpenter).

A lot of people sleeping on Miggy Cabrera

He's top 3 in every triple crown category.

Should Trout slow down, he very well could win the triple crown.

But if Trout keeps this pace up, its hard to not give it to him. But being a rookie, you'd think he has to hit a wall at some point.

AL Cy- Weaver
NL Cy- Cueto
