How is Lebron going to stop MJ from making a fadeaway jumper?

MJ makes fadeaway jumper less than 50% of the time. Lebron scores in the paint at a much higher rate.

MJ would not win by shooting fadeaways, no chance. The winner would be the guy who makes more in the paint.

This is on average of course.

Well...Jordan is considered to be a Top 10 all-time defender by a lot of people.

2 more years of what? Lebron doing what he's done in the last few weeks? or what Lebron has done the last few years? you need to be specific of what you are talking about so we can adequately insult you.

27/8/7 on 56% shooting.

Insult away, only makes you look more foolish.

This season

I like taking small sample sizes and comparing that to an entire career for someone else. Good job.

Jordan averaged almost 3 points/game throughout his entire career than Lebron is averaging part of this season. Lebron is averaging 2 rebounds/game and 1.6 assists/game during this run than Jordan did throughout his entire career. So, even with the best stats that Lebron has ever put up, he's still not even unarguably better than Jordan over his entire career.

Why don't you go look at 50 game stretches for Jordan and find the best 50 game stretch that he ever had? You know, since that what you are doing for Lebron.

and, Lebron shoots 100% from the paint? and you are calling me stupid? seriously. This argument is retarded in that we will never know. But, people make generic comments like "Lebron is more athletic than MJ" because they want to think he'd win. Go watch some NBA film. As great as Lebron is, on the basketball court, Jordan was way more athletic than Lebron.

Every argument I've heard for Lebron beating Jordan is that he's more athletic. And, every argument I've heard for Lebron being more athletic is that he's bigger than Jordan. That is retarded.

Literally the only thing that King James has over MJ is that he is bigger.

I said bigger, stronger and faster which 2 of them you can't deny and faster was also said by barkley who played with Jordan.

You cannot deny their athletic ability is very close, but when that is the case give me the bigger, stronger, and (arguably faster) player in a 1 on 1 setting. What is so hard to understand?

Sick logic, let me ask you a question 1.6 assist equals how many more points?

i'm not the one taking the best 50 game stretch as evidence that he's better than someone who did it for his entire career. Lebron is neck and neck currently with what Jordan continued over his entire career. this includes Jordan on the way down. But, it is only comparing to Lebron on the way up.

Give Lebron until his retirement and then make this comparison. Like every other player before him, Lebron's stats his last few years will lower his overall numbers and we will see if he is still neck and neck with Jordan.

PER is a dumb stat to track the historical performance BEFORE it existed. Widely used stats affect play for some of these stat hungry players. I'm sure if the 60s-90s players were as stat obsessed as today, some of those players would have better stats.

It's like trying to judge 3pt shooting of today against players shooting that same distance before the 3pt shot existed.

Stats lead to greater rewards for players now much more than they did then.

The announcers gush about LeBron, mentioning him in the same sentence with Jordan, who hears every word. Those words have an effect on him. He stares at the TV and points out a flaw in LeBron's game.
"I study him," he says.
When LeBron goes right, he usually drives; when he goes left, he usually shoots a jumper. It has to do with his mechanics and how he loads the ball for release. "So if I have to guard him," Jordan says, "I'm gonna push him left so nine times out of 10, he's gonna shoot a jump shot. If he goes right, he's going to the hole and I can't stop him. So I ain't letting him go right."

Didn't read the thread past this post. 275? Faster? Bigger?

that's what I thought. I've yet to hear a valid argument as to how Lebron is more athletic than Jordan. Thanks for continuing the trend.

He is bigger, faster, stronger than Jordan.

Call me crazy but some people might consider that more athletic.

And some people like you are too busy looking for every last dick in the universe to suck so things like that never really sink in.
