Whether people feel they deserve it or not isn't relevant.

I think members of the committee will give a big FU to people in the media who are against Michigan "They shouldn't have lost to Iowa" and select them anyway.

I think the committee hates the idea of Washington being in the playoff and believes (as many others) Michigan has the best chances against Bama and are licking their chops at this potential matchup (and ratings juggernaut) which can salvage an overall uninteresting CFB season.

The Iowa loss gets written off and Michigan gets in.

Michigan might be one of the top four, but this won't happen.

Guffaw. They'll finish 6th, at best

So the committee will put not 1, but 2 teams who finished behind Penn State in the division over Penn State?? Michigan isn't getting in and they don't deserve a rematch because they almost beat Ohio State.

IF Michigan gets in over Washington, it will prove that revenue and ratings are the main selection points behind the playoff committee. Which is NOT what this is supposed to be about.

Yeah, committee meets to discuss how much they hate UW.

That's why they have them #4.

The committee would lose what little credibility the have left (if any at all) if they did this. I don't think they make the best choices but do you really believe they're going to pick who gets in the playoff based solely off of what the best matchup will be?

Ugh, I went to down vote and forgot I already down voted. I'm sad I don't have two.

Lol no. Even without the Iowa loss, I think they would just miss. Michigan's argument over Washington was out of conference schedule, but Washington just trumped that with a bigger win on a neutral field against Michigan's valuable out of conference win. Michigan would have a good argument to be in if Colorado had won.

If Michigan gets in over Washington it will be a fricking travesty, particularly when there is an outside chance Washington is higher than Clemson in the computer composite, and both will be higher than Michigan.

That's a solid analysis.

Of course, Michigan would also be in but for an inch.
