There's maybe a handful of teams in the country that have 17 or more players on the roster that can point out something other than US/Mexico/Canada.

Nah I'm just talking about geography, specifically european geography.

How many people do you know that could point out the czech republic on a blank european map? Probably less than 10%. Since Italy is a little more obvious I guess you could spot them another 5%, but if you individually took all 85 roster players on each team and asked them to point it out on a blank map, 17 per team is going to be pushing it.

Ok maybe I went too far with the Arkansas analogy. BUT, the offense was nowhere near good enough nor talented enough to win anything big. Shitty OLINE play years in the making because of 4 star busts and terrible position coaching ruined the development of many of those guys. Michigan's oline got abused in almost every game against a team with a defensive line that had a pulse.

Combine that with the fact that their QB was an inaccurate statue who couldn't cover up that weakness and you get losses to osu and FSU.

Iowa was an inexcusable loss. That's on harbaugh.

If the oline doesn't improve next year, then I'll start getting annoyed

Ignore it. Y'all have one of the best coaches in the sport.

I am jealous as hell of Michigan right now. What would I rather have between two programs who have recruited roughly equally over the last five years (and, oh yea, Michigan played a much tougher schedule this year) - Harbaugh or Brian Kelly?

I was bitching about this, then it was pointed out that Trent Johnson took the LSU basketball team to Italy a few years ago for exhibition games against Italian teams.

Why does this bother me a lot more than the LSU situation? Like this looks flagrantly wrong?

Do you know how much $ the Michigan football team brings in for the university? I promise you they can afford it.

I actually think this is pretty cool. If Saban can't stop this I bet you that Alabama goes to France or somewhere to hold spring practice. Other programs will follow and tie it into study aboard or something. I think it would be better to do this during Spring Break though.

Good for the players. I got a free trip to Egypt and Germany through academics in school, if Michigan can afford it, why not?

I absolutely love how Harbaugh rubs Saban and the NCAA the wrong way. May be too quirky to ever develop any consistency but man, he's got balls and pushes the limit.

As much as LSUs does. But they are also paying out the arse for their coach.

The school isn't paying a dime for it. All of it came from a private booster

I'm going to some Polynesian islands and getting some recruits if I can choose.

I love rocket, but he's an idiot on this subject. I do think Michigan might post something like 8-4 next year because of all the losses on D. But, the offense should keep getting better and better (though they are losing solid receiving talent). I'll start getting pissed in 2 or 3 years if they don't go like 11-1.
