after talking with various, fellow boardmembers last year, talking their smack about the mets. it has truly been a joy to watch minaya and manuel in action. combined they have drained the minor league system, have 3 huge superstars under big time salaries due over the next few years with their careers in jeopardy. the overuse of f. rodriguez puts his career in jeopardy ..... even if, IF? any of the players make it back next year and are good, they will be battling for 3rd place in the division. R.I.P. METS job well done

Delgado will retire. Until yesterday Wright was the only guy playing everday. Totally fell apart his year, injuries, lack of concentration in the field.

I love how Willie was 'too nice' so they went and got Jerry fricking Manuel That and all the SI covers and shite talking about how amazing Minaya is and how he's the best GM in baseball. Awesome.

Jesus h there are some ignorant fig gots in this thread. You do realize he was their bench coach, right?

Sure, lets blame Jerry Manuel for the fact that the Buffalo Bisons are sucking wind this year, and their last star offensive player gets drilled in the head last night and has to spend the next week out of the lineup.

Thanks, Matt Cain - for tipping your hat as you leave the field yesterday afternoon. Real classy.

Type B free agent at the end of the season. With the Braves' propensity to sign 50 yr old washed up 1st basemen, I wouldnt be surprised to see him at Turner Field next year.
