I don't think that was ever his goal.

He's always stated his goal was to earn the most amount of money while sustaining the least amount of damage. No one can argue he's done that better than anyone else in the sport's history, by far.

Cool. Boring as shite to watch unless you're a boxing fan.

You know it's his job not to get hit right?

Sure. I just wish he wasn't such a bitch so he would have fought Manny 5 years ago.

Well.... if they are afraid of their fastball getting hit, I'd call them a pussy, too. And no, that's like saying a pitcher who NEVER throws fastballs is a gigantic pussy. They are.

Agreed. But I don't agree to Savage eluding that he is a all time great or should be considered one. Because he shouldn't.

You have to ask yourself, is Boxing more about not getting hit or hitting your opponent. Mayweather has mastered the not getting hit part and racking up punches that don't do much in the way of damage. Thats considered a win in boxing currently. Will they change how they score fights? Probably not, because what he doesn't isn't easily replicated.

Depends on how big your list is. Top 50 without a doubt he's on the list. Top 10 no way.

I don't disagree with that. I have no issues with counter punchers. Boxing is as known as a The Sweet Science. Being a counter puncher career boxer means you are probably one of the most technically sound and patient boxers in the world.
But I don't think Mayweather has had the opportunity to fight enough contenders or champions to be considered pound for pound an all time great. Even tho he's 48-0. It's not his fault. Besides 4-5 people he's fought of name, most of the general public couldn't name you anyone of note he's faced. And I believe most boxing experts agree with that sentiment.

His resume speaks a lot louder than your biased opinion.

You mean he would have dodged more of his punches while throwing jabs that wouldn't knock out a toddler? Or that he would have had more cheap shots on him?

That goes for most any non-heavyweight fighter. Who could name anyone Leonard fought outside of Hearns, Duran, and Hagler?

Exactly, because there's nothing you can say.

He's done everything possible, fought everyone possible, dominated everyone except Maidana, never been knocked down, and will retire with the best unbeaten record in boxing history.

And to boot, it's been so easy for him he won't be a vegetable for the rest of his life by the time he hits 45.

You realize Pac is younger than Mayweather?

Ive heard people say, "But things would have been different 5 years ago". Uhhh...FMM would have been 5 years younger too.

Floyd has had multiple KOs. So the idea that he can't knock anyone out is axiomatically false. His primary strategy has shifted away from that style of fighting.

dominated everyone except Maidana

Well this is false. Many think he should've lost the first Castillo fight.

But then he came back and dominated Castillo in the second fight.

You're arguing with a dude who thinks a 48-0 professional boxer is a giant pussy.

Id rather see Maidana fight him a 3rd time. At least Maidana made it fun to watch, at least in the first fight
