They have to pay thousands of dollars to show the fight. A bar might have to pay $5,000 or $10,000 to show the fight. Could be even more for a bigger bar. Maybe $15,000 or more.

judging by downtown NOLA, whoever showed it made their money back and then some

the sidewalk outside of Happy's on Poydras where i was was 3 deep with people watching it for free because one of the TVs faced an outdoor courtyard. Mannings and Masquerade had lines to get in and were sold out.

Hell, I enjoyed the fight as an event. Invited a girl to watch it with me. Both got sorta dressed up. Reserved a table at an upscale sports bar and had a great time. And of course got laid.

Ive seen enough mayweather fights to know how the fight would probably go. It's all about the event to me.

A great fight would have been a bonus but that's it.

They HAVE to be part of the "big event" because the media told them it was.
Well not everybody can be so lucky and be such an enlightened thinker like yourself. I know you try your best to show us the light as when it comes to evils of ESPN, big business, and all things popular; however, we are just too easily persuaded by their power. Hopefully one day we will have your intellectual prowess; until then, keep up the good fight and don't give up on us.

A friend of mine runs an establishment downtown and they bought the fight for $14k and charged $50/head for 1,000 people. Showed it in the bar/restaurant and courtyard.

You have to remember ESPN and the media hyped it up.lol. Hell Michelle and Rachael was apart of the hype by running the story about Floyd's domestic violence. It was all a plan to get more viewers. They could have spoke about all that shite loooong ago when he was fighting other people. People fall for anything now. Social media generation.
